Win! Enter the 3rd Edition Design Contest
First, the deadline for our 3rd Edition Design Contest is fast approaching! Any member of the Michigan Aurora Chasers can submit a graphic design, artwork or illustration for a chance to win a $150 cash prize. The design will be printed on our 3rd Edition apparel and gear and sold online, so you may see your design out in the wild across the world. But hurry!

Mi Aurora Workshop
Second, we have officially announced a Save the Date for the Michigan Aurora Chasers Workshop, which will take place Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Headlands International Dark Sky Park. Registration will be required to attend, so please keep an eye out until we publish the registration link. Space is limited, which means the free workshop will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
It’s a full weekend of Aurora Chasing! We’re lining the #MiAuroraWorkshop up with events on Friday evening and Sunday morning, all related to dark skies and Aurora Chasing. Come for the workshop, stay for a weekend full of advice and chasing the Northern Lights!

While we weren’t able to boost our numbers on Instagram very quickly so we could launch a channel, we have decided to pursue live alerts anyway. Nothing will change in the Facebook Group, but we’re proud to add this feature, which is separate from Facebook but run by our Lead Team and vetted, volunteer spotters.
